Celebrate vocal ensemble music at Frost! Choralcopia features a collage experience that highlights the diverse genres of the Frost School of Music. With traditional choirs, opera, jazz, and contemporary a cappella, this concert promises to offer a wide range of musical styles and vocal techniques to delight the audience.
Harmony, counterpoint, and expressive interpretations create a captivating atmosphere in classical choral performance. The audience can expect to hear Renaissance motets, Baroque choral works, Romantic part-songs, and contemporary choral pieces. Frost Opera Theater collaborates with the Frost choirs to present the 2nd act of La Bohème. Highlighting the grandeur and emotional intensity of Puccini's masterpiece, the combination of soloists, ensemble singing, and staging will create a preview for this year's FOT performances.
Our amazing jazz ensembles have a long history of excellence at Frost. Jazz Vocal I presents standards and creative vocal arrangements in a showcase of harmony and swing. Finally, two of our student-led a cappella ensembles showcase the incredible talents of our University of Miami students. Join us to enjoy the harmonious blend of voices when all choirs come together in Choralcopia!
