Join Chicago Canes at the Shedd Aquarium for an exciting and informative evening at Jazzin' at the Shedd!
Bring the whole family and connect with fellow Canes for a special illustrated lecture by University of Miami alumni working at the Aquarium. Your participation in this program includes access to Jazzin' at the Shedd, the Aquarium's beloved summer series featuring live jazz and stunning skyline views.
As part of this unique experience, guests will also enjoy a 30-minute Penguin Encounter. You'll meet the penguins up close, chat with an animal care specialist, and get answers to all your penguin questions.
Adult General Admission includes hor d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and a penguin experience. Children receive complimentary admission. A portion of your ticket purchase supports the Chicago ’Canes Community Scholarship Fund.

Ross Cunning, Ph.D. '13, research biologist
A coral biologist and ecologist, Dr. Cunning researches ways to boost coral reef resilience in the face of climate change.
Claire Waterhouse, M.P.S. '22, research technician
Claire studies the natural diversity and structure of endangered freshwater mussel species to inform conservation strategies and guide species recovery efforts.
Trinity Conn, B.S.M.A.S. '19, postdoctoral research fellow
Dr. Conn recently completed her Ph.D. in biology at Penn State University. Her research focuses on uncovering novel genetic diversity in reef-building corals, particularly the role of somatic mutations in adaptation and resilience.
