Explore Bronzeville: A Historic Bus Tour with the Chicago ’Canes Community
Celebrate Black Alumni Society Week(end) with the Chicago ’Canes on an unforgettable bus tour of the historic Bronzeville neighborhood, led by renowned Chicago historian Dilla. Known for his engaging storytelling and viral history videos, Dilla brings Chicago's rich past to life with his deep knowledge and passion for the city's South Side.
Dive into the rich history of Chicago's South Side as we visit landmarks that changed the world. Highlights include:
The Birthplace of Black History Month
The Eighth Infantry Armory
The Supreme Liberty Life Insurance Building
The Ida B. Wells-Barnett Mansion
Pilgrim Baptist Church, the birthplace of gospel music
Tour Details:
Departure Location: South Lot of the DuSable Museum of African American History
Boarding: Begins 15 minutes prior to departure
Tour Duration: 2 hours. Includes one stop to explore on foot
After the tour, we'll continue the experience with brunch at Dawn A.M. Eatery, a favorite local spot!
