Join the Charlotte Canes at Samaritan's Feet International in sorting shoes to give to those in need. Samaritan's Feet is a humanitarian aid organization that gives hope and healing through the gift of shoes to those in need worldwide.
THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
Team leaders should arrive 15 minutes prior to your event to assist with check-in. Check-In will start at 8:45 AM
Please dress comfortably, bring a water bottle, leave all personal items (except a cell phone and medically necessary items) in the car, and wear closed-toed shoes. No vapes or e-cigarettes are allowed inside the building. Come ready to work together to make an impact on someone’s life around the world!
DONATIONS:
All volunteers are welcome to bring in donations, but it is not a requirement. We are grateful for your donated time; any additional donations are a plus! If you feel called to donate below are ways to support:
- Monetary Donations- We accept cash, check, and Venmo. ($30 supports the donation and distribution of 1 pair of shoes).
- Shoe Donations- New or gently used athletic style sneakers of all sizes.
- Sock Donations- Adult, toddler, and youth unisex socks (especially extra small and small).
WHAT DO SAMARITAN'S FEET VOLUNTEERS DO?
When coming into the Samaritan’s Feet warehouse, individuals may be asked to sort shoes by style, lefts, rights, and size, or they may be asked to pair shoes together by like-grouping. These tasks are essential for helping the team prepare shoes for shipment locally, nationally, and internationally. The volunteer sessions consist of standing, bending, squatting, and lifting.
