BreakThru Diversity Mixer is a career event designed for underrepresented student populations, including Black, Indigenous, & People of Color (BIPOC), First-Generation, LGBTQ+, and students with disabilities at the University of Miami, to connect with employers who value and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
This event serves as a lead into our Job & Internship Expo and supports future professionals by providing an early opportunity to connect with employers before attending Expo. BreakThru will be hosted at Lakeside Village Auditorium & Expo Center, where students will meet employers specifically looking to offer internships and full-time opportunities to diverse populations.

3:30 pm - Student Check-In @ Lakeside Auditorium
4:00 pm to 4:05 pm - Opening Remarks @ Lakeside Auditorium
4:05 pm to 4:15 pm - Keynote Speaker @ Lakeside Auditorium

Expectations:
- Keynote Speaker Session: All students are encouraged to attend this session to gain insight and support in networking. Attending the session is not required.
- You do not need to pre-register for the mixer and can register on-site the day of the mixer.
- Check-in begins at 3:30 pm and ends at 6 pm. You are welcome to come and go as you please during the duration of the mixer, 4 pm - 6 pm.
