About this Event
1311 Miller Rd, Coral Gables, FL 33146
The Black Miami Film Screening and Panel aims to improve the cultural and historical competency for aspiring lawyers, professors, and legal practitioners in Miami. This intellectually rich documentary dives into the cultural and ethnic composition, history, and sociology of Miami while shedding light on legal ethics, property law, economics, criminal justice, immigration, and asylum. Moreover, this event highlights Black ethnic groups in Miami that are often forgotten: Bahamians, Haitians, Jamaicans, African Americans, and Black Cubans. We have experts including Dr. Marvin Dunn, Mrs. Jacqui Coyler, Professor Irwin Stotzky, Professor Donald Jones, and Professor Anthony Alfieri who will highlight historical and legal issues facing black ethnic communities.
