About this Event
Richard Todd, artistic director
This performance celebrates the timeless music of J.S. Bach with creative arrangements that cross musical boundaries. Get ready for an exceptional evening of chamber music with the Frost Chamber Players and Frost Extensions!
From classical to jazz, experience how our Frost School of Music's world-class faculty and students reimagine Bach's masterpieces, including the Second Brandenburg Concerto (BWV 1047), the Fifth Cello Suite (BWV 1005), and the Third Violin Sonata (BWV 1005).
A highlight of the evening is Bach’s Keyboard Partita No. 1 in B Flat (BWV 825), presented in three unique settings: on piano by Naoko Takao, as a horn and guitar arrangement by Richard Todd and Rafael Padron, and as a jazz trio reinvention featuring Shelly Berg, Charles Bergeron, and Dafnis Prieto.
