Join Gary Born, internationally renowned arbitration expert, for an engaging discussion on the practical application and implications of Article V(1)(d) of the New York Convention. Gary will shed light on recent trends, case law and whether, in practice, the provision ultimately helps or hinders the New York Convention’s overall goal of facilitating wide recognition of international arbitral awards.
Gary Born is the chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group at Wilmer Cutler Pikcering Hale and Dorr LLP. Mr. Born is widely regarded as the world's preeminent authority on international commercial arbitration and international litigation. He has been ranked for more than 20 years as one of the world's leading international arbitration advocates and the leading arbitration practitioner in London. He also serves as Adjunct Professor in the White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. Program at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches a course on the “International Law of State Responsibility” every Spring term. Read more here.
